Quentin Godet
Quentin Godet はフランス・パリ出身のギタリストで、プログレッシブメタルバンド Kadinja やニュー・デスコアバンド ten56. での活動で広く知られています。5歳でドラムを始め、11歳でギターに転向。フランスの著名なギタリストのもとで研鑽を積み、American School of Modern Music にて学んだ後、17歳の時にはすでにフランス各地のメタルやポップ／ファンクアーティストとツアーを行っていました。Kadinja に加入したことで転機を迎え、アルバム Ascendancy、Super 90’、DNA の制作において重要な役割を果たし、その精緻でグルーヴ感あふれるスタイルは Euroblast や UK Tech-Fest といった大型フェスへの出演、そして国際的評価へとつながりました。
2020年には、ボーカルの Aaron Matts、ドラマーの Arnaud Verrier とともに ten56. を結成。デビューシングル「Diazepam」でシーンに鮮烈な登場を果たし、Downer EP シリーズで勢いを加速させました。圧倒的な重厚サウンドで知られる ten56. は、Hellfest、Louder Than Life、Aftershock、Inkcarceration、Summer Breeze といった世界有数のステージに立ち、ヨーロッパ、北米、オーストラリア、日本を含む大規模なツアーを展開。ここでは、Kadinjaでの高速リフから一転、オクタファズや積み重ねたゲインステージ、極端にダウンチューニングされたリフを駆使し、バンドのアイデンティティを形成する“壁のようなサウンド”を生み出しています。
演奏活動に加え、Quentin はインストラクター・機材コラボレーターとしても信頼を得ています。Guitar Xtreme Magazine や Guitar Part にギターレッスンを寄稿し、ギターコミュニティに積極的に関わり続けています。Vola Guitars とは長期にわたりパートナーシップを築き、これまでに3種類のシグネチャーモデル Vola OZ QGM シリーズ を発表。多彩なエレクトロニクス、ハイエンドな仕様、モダンなデザインを備え、テクニカルメタルから表情豊かなフュージョンスタイルまで対応するギターとして高く評価されています。
Michael Jackson、Pink Floyd、Guthrie Govan、Biréli Lagrène などから深い影響を受けたQuentinは、卓越したテクニックと幅広い芸術性を兼ね備えています。今後は ten56. でのツアー継続、Kadinja のライブ活動の復活、さらにメタル以外のジャンルとのコラボレーションにも挑戦していく予定です。

“Vola guitars arrived at the perfect moment for us,” Quentin Godet says. As his career was expanding with Kadinja and later ten56., he found himself needing instruments that could handle everything—clean, articulate tones in one project, and aggressive, layered gain in another. “We needed to work with a guitar brand that could provide us flawless instruments for every situation,” he explains. “Vola did even better—they built our own signature guitars based on versatility, that can be used everywhere. They made us the guitars we were dreaming of.”
For Quentin, his signature models are the ultimate tools. “Seven-string H/S/S guitars have always been a dream of mine—exploring sound possibilities without limit, not depending on the musical genre I’m playing in.” Whether it’s live with ten56., tracking with Kadinja, or jamming at home, he leans on Vola for their reliability and sonic range. “Obviously, my signature models are what I see myself using in every musical situation—metal, pop, blues, funk, soul… They’ve got the perfect mojo and sound possibilities I always dreamed of.”
