Introducing the OZ 24 AP Supernova, the signature model of metal vet Adam Phillips. A collaborative distillation of balance and grit, the Supernova introduces several new features that serve to emphasize and complement Adam's skillset. Perhaps the most notable of those is the Evertune bridge, whose patented technology gives immutable tuning stability and intonation. Paired with Gotoh locking tuners and a Graph Tech nut, consistency permeates the playing experience. The alder body is coated with an elegant white gloss finish and black binding for a timeless contrast. The bolt-on roasted maple neck features 24 medium jumbo stainless steel frets, providing longevity and durability. The neck also employs a Vola Modern C profile with a compounding thickness to further comfortability. From an electronics standpoint, the guitar is tonally driven by a VHC humbucker in the neck and a Fire Ice humbucker in the bridge, both designed in house. Additional control is introduced by a volume knob, a push-pull pot to incorporate a coil tap, and a three-way switch to tie in different combinations of the two pickups. The installation of a kill switch further expands its creative potential. All in all, the Supernova is designed for efficiency, power, and musical exploration.

Evertune Bridge
The installation of the revolutionary Evertune bridge system guarantees an unrivaled playing experience. This patented technology paves the way for rock solid tuning stability and intonation under any circumstances.
Dual Humbuckers
Designed with power and clarity in mind, the Supernova comes stock with a VHC humbucker in the neck position and a Fire Ice humbucker in the bridge position. Both designed in house by Vola, these two humbuckers offer a rounded, well-balanced tonality to the overall sound.
Stainless Steel Frets
24 stainless steel medium jumbo frets and a 25.5" scale length mesh perfectly for effortless playability. The durable stainless steel provides longer fret life, better vibrato, smoother bends, and more responsiveness to attack. To complement the MOP offset dot marker inlays, a custom “Atom” inlay adorns the 11th-13th frets.
Kill Switch
The addition of a built-in kill switch expands the creative boundaries of this instrument. Whether adding rhythmic value, intentional space, or pushing the limits of songwriting itself, this electronic setup offers limitless potential for musicality and inventiveness .
Black Binding
High Gloss White finish with black binding around the body gives the Supernova a clean and sleek look while accenting the the Black hardware and pickups. Simple but still makes a statement.
Roasted Maple Neck
Choice roasted maple comprises the neck of each Supernova. In addition to the beautiful aesthetic, the thermal process removes moisture and impurities, resulting in stability and longevity. This also protects against changes in temperature and humidity, making it an ideal solution for musicians on the go. The Modern C neck adaptive profile caters to many playing styles.
This is the second Vola guitar I own and I am absolutely happy! I love how it sounds and how it feels. The quality is amazing. I though I would swap the pickups and install Fishmans, but those pickups are actually pretty good and I decided to keep them.
The only couple minor things: some screws and nuts were not tighten and I had to set up the bridge and adjust the action. But I was able to set the action much lower, which is great and indicates that the fret work is absolutely awesome!
Overall, definitely recommend. For this price you are getting a guitar that can easily compete with Ibanez Prestige, and to my mind it is even better.
Excellent craftsmanship and a great instrument. I was also happy to receive the mug that came with it. I'll drink my coffee from it once I've customized it to suit my mood. :)
Ever since I bought this guitar, I haven´t been able to put it down.
It feels great, looks great and plays awesome,
Best purchase ever!
Just received my oz AP 24 (my 5th Vola Purchase) fast ship out of Hong Kong, feel like I hit the lottery, been checking site daily for availability and couldn't believe my eyes when order button was live. I must have scooped up the only one. All my Vola's are great, like Adam says perfect blues/hard rock/metal guitar. Glad I snagged it. Not easy to do!
Awesome guitar and amazing quality. Arrived in perfect condition with a perfect setup. Sounds and plays great. Looks killer too. Got to Texas in 3 days!
From Indorphine to ProPain and his solo work, Adam is truly a masterful musician who raises the bar for every project he's involved in. Guitar has everything you could want and then some. 10/10
OMG this is the perfect guitar, I must get one before I die
