I've only had the guitar a couple of weeks at writing this review. Keep that in mind. Shipping: Was exceedingly fast. 3 days from Hong Kong (why not Japan?) Arrived in perfect condition. The Case: Love the fact that it came with a hard shell case designed for the guitar. Fits perfectly. Love the purple(?) plush interior. Wish the pockets, or at least one of them, had a cover. Would help keep things contained while the case is open. Ya know, the case won't always be opened flat, or on the floor. But that is a small inconvenience for getting such a nice case. The Guitar: Beautiful. Could end the review right there. Nicely tiger striped top, altho' the grains aren't matched that well, yet still strikingly beautiful. Really like the clear pickguard. All of the components feel solid, top notch. The pickups are unexpectedly clean and clear. Not sure why I thought they wouldn't be, but they are. Lots of definition even when driven hard. I really like the sound of the pickups "unsplit", as well as split. Gets a sort of vintage 3 coil sound when split, and a bit of modern 3 coil when not split. Really don't notice too much with the "Add Front Pickup" feature. And altho' it seems cool, haven't felt the "Bypass Tone" button adds that much. Nice idea, maybe I just don't know how/when to use that. The neck is a lot thinner than I had expected. Not quite used to it, yet. And, it's a bit wider than I'm used to. There's some "getting used to it" there, as well. All in all, it's a great guitar. And for the $$$'s, its hard to beat. This isn't just a shred machine, so I hope Vola doesn't get type cast that way. The OZ is a very versatile guitar. I've been doing country on it. Will use it on my bands next home recordings (hard rock and prog-ish). All in all, super happy. It's a keeper, for sure.

The guitar is extremely well made. i just wish attention was directed towards the setup as the action was low which I prefer, however there was fret buzz here and there. The pickups needed to be lowered as they were too close to the strings causing a harsh high pitched sound when the volume was at 10. Again, the guitar is impeccable, just needed the proper setup.

It’s hard to overstate how impressed I was with this guitar. In today’s market we often take some risk with buying online without seeing the product in person. In this case that risk paid off big time. I’ve owned guitars at triple the price of this vola that mine is easily on par with. I got one of these in orange, and right out of the box it was set up as well or better than many made in USA counterparts. This has been a phenomenal guitar and Vola certainly won me over as a customer going forward.

This guitar is next level, the attention to detail and craftsmanship is amazing. It's really in a league of its own, I was super impressed initially and then when I spent some time with it playing, it got better and better. The playability is awesome, 27" scale length executed perfectly and for a 7 string it's very ergonomic and comfortable to have in your lap. Bare knuckles are tough sounding and heaps of tonal options with the single coils and coil splits. The fretboard is really the master piece here, the roasted maple is incredible and stainless frets. You can just move around so nice. The hard case to top it off. I liked it so much I just bought the J2 6 string version. I've played high end ESP and Ibanez guitars and this guitar, knocks it out for the money. Highly do recommend.

Very beautiful, and probably the best constructed bolt on neck guitar that I've personally ever owned. Modern Japanese craftsmanship at an unbeatable Price....WOW! and the flame on the roasted maple neck is amazing as well!

Closest thing to a flawless guitar I have owned. Good set up great neck and frets. As mentioned elsewhere, the pickups are lower output. The neck pickup was set down near the body so I raised it up. For someone that mostly prefers neck pickups, I found the bridge pickup to be very usable. My only complaint is when the three way switch is in the bridge position, it is too close to the volume knob. I was also a little disappointed in the weight of 7lbs 12oz. I had seen so many videos saying how light these are. But it still meets my requirements of coming in under 8lbs. Overall I highly recommend.

Excellent Guitar. Glad I finally got it. Great intonation and tone. 4 days from Japan to Arizona was quite the shipping feat, not sure if that is common. Appreciate the light weight and slender smooth neck. Took some adjustment to get used to it from my 12-pound brick of a Les Paul. Now I don't want to play anything else. Tremolo doesn't put it out of tune after lots of bends. Almost too many choices on the voicing with different pickup configurations. (Almost)

Well made guitar. Neck and frets are nice. Good weight 7lbs 4oz. It is a very clear and bright sounding guitar. The bridge pickup alone does not appeal to me. Only combined with the middle pickup or at high gain do I like it. The reverse headstock looks cool but for me, is somewhat inconvenient to use. Tuning is not that stable and I haven't used the whammy bar. The only build problem is a corner of the pick guard was not cut out well. Overall a very nice instrument. I would probably return it but for the fact that it has some light pick guard scratches.

Awesome guitar! I received my Viola JZ in shell pink about a month ago. It quickly skyrocketed to my #1! Everything about this instrument is thought it and executed really well. Fit and finish are excellent, materials are highest quality. Flamed neck is beautiful. Over all the guitar is balanced well when it comes to ergonomics and sound. Pickups are great and handle everything thrown at them. I am super happy with my purchase. Voila was a pleasure to do business with as well!

Perfect Super Strat

About two weeks ago I bought a Vasti V3 MC Candy Apple Red. The build quality is second to none and love to play it. The reason I gave it 4 starts is because of pickup power is too low in comparison with a fender Telecaster professional II I have, the neck is thin which took me a few long minutes to feel comfortable with but thereafter it is smooth and easy to play fast. I recommend this guitar to those who hesitant. As to the guitar delivery it was so fast. The service is awesome great job Vola.

Amazing, for that price especially

I received my guitar quicker than I thought I would, and it is wonderful. I used the code from Agufish, shoutout! I have multiple American made guitars and this one is easily as good or better than some, stellar instrument.

A well put together example of what a modern guitar with vintage inspiration can be! Plays like a demon and looks pretty spiffy too.
