OZ MRM

This guitar has become my favorite instrument. It was set up and ready to play out of the box. Its electronics are top notch, allowing a wide range of tones. Ergonomics are excellent, making this the most comfortable guitar that I own. I highly recommend Vola guitars, you will not be disappointed.

The guitar arrived perfectly set up. The neck is absolutely gorgeous and plays excellently.
The pickups sound great. However, I have installed a treble bleed because they lose treble when you turn them down. However, this is also the case with other manufacturers.
Compared to the other big Japanese guitar manufacturer, I think the OZ MRM is better because it is more original due to its body shape and I like the pickups more.
In conclusion, I can only say positive things about this guitar!

Updated review to 5 stars. I played with EQ and am upgrading my opinion of the pickups. They sound awesome. Not microphonic. I will add a treble bleed circuit. This is a great guitar. Very happy with my purchase.

Excellent shipping and build. Has unique electronics that are useful. The reason I gave it 4 rather than 5 stars, are the pickups. While adequate, for my ears they sound a lil microphonic esp the neck p-90. I'm going to upgrade with Seymour Duncan's. So I feel it's apparently worth it. I ordered two more oz"s. This is a nice guitar, with appropriate upgrades I.e. bone nut, action adjustment and Duncan pickups should be killer.

I just purchased the oz mrm after putting a tiny bit of relief in the neck and swapped out the 333 cap for a 223orange drop (by the way the other cap is a 473 ) attached a treble bleed circuit the guitar came to life it was good before although a little muddy when you turn down the volume after the mods I have bright tone all the way on the volume cheers

My MRM model is an instrument of high quality at a great price. Its construction and tonal variation are truly fantastic, the only negative point is that I would like to have more color options than the guitars for lefty are always dark in color.

I already owned two vola guitars - love the brand. But I wanted a p90 guitar so I tried OZ MRM - I'm so glad I did! This fit and finish on this guitar is immaculate and near perfect. Like many other reviewers have said, the workmanship is on par or better than $4000 guitars. The thing that really stands out for me is the playability. When I'm learning a difficult riff and struggling, I now reach for this guitar - the neck and fretwork are amazing, making everything less frustrating. Also, the tone from this guitar is very versatile. I mainly play blues, and while it does not look like a "blues guitar" by most stardards, when you run the p90, it certainly plays and sounds like one. Its remarkable that vola can sell this guitar at this price point.

I'm not wealthy, I've just been collecting for nearly 4 decades and have often been in the right place at the right time in terms of timing acquisition of high quality guitars when the market has been soft for certain brands. My favorite guitars up to this point have been Ernie Ball Music Man guitars from their US factory. I have 8 of those in different models. I would rank this Vola as every bit as high quality as any of those Music Man guitars. The neck on this Vola is as nice, or nicer than any of those guitars. The variations on pickups enable more sonic variations than any other guitar I own. The finish is flawless. My only wish is that they would more color variations (and perhaps some more brash colors like some of the hot rodded guitars from 80's). It's my new favorite guitar, so much so, that I am going to start to sell off parts of the collection in order to try more Vola models. Also worth mentioning that the gig bag/soft case is extremely high quality and quite protective._x000d_
Shipping has been flawless and everything has arrived within 7 days of ordering, which seems impressive given that they are being shipped internationally._x000d_

The tones are very reach lots of over tones. I love the neck hombucker the two pickups together are great, single coil has a nice sound for funk._x000d_
The guitar has it's own character, for me i love it but if looking for a strat or metal axe sound this one is different. and the accuracy of the guitar for those with delicate hearing is fantastic._x000d_
And for the price i say its adeal._x000d_

I tried it with a BOSS amp available at the Vola booth and the guitar sounded fantastic. the super clear humbucker with super clear harmonics. the P94 surprised me with its balanced output relative to the humbucker. I found the capacitor selector to be a very good choice. finally is premium instrument that I will buy soon because it is a perfect guitar!!!!
