Quentin Godet

Born and raised in Paris, France, Quentin Godet is a powerhouse guitarist best known for his work in the progressive metal band Kadinja and the nu-deathcore group ten56. Starting his musical journey on drums at age five before switching to guitar at eleven, Godet built his foundation studying under notable French guitarists and attending the American School of Modern Music. By seventeen, he was already on tour with various French metal and pop/funk artists. His entrance into Kadinja marked a turning point, where his playing was instrumental in shaping the band’s acclaimed records Ascendancy, Super 90’, and DNA. Kadinja’s precise, groove-heavy style brought them to high-profile festivals like Euroblast and UK Tech-Fest, and earned international recognition for their progressive edge.
In 2020, Godet co-founded ten56. with vocalist Aaron Matts and drummer Arnaud Verrier. The band exploded onto the heavy music scene with their debut single Diazepam and continued momentum through the Downer EP series. Known for a punishing yet refined sound, ten56. has performed on some of the world’s biggest stages, including Hellfest, Louder Than Life, Aftershock, Inkcarceration, and Summer Breeze, while touring extensively across Europe, North America, Australia, and Japan. In ten56., Godet trades Kadinja’s clean articulation for a dense, layered wall of tone—leveraging octafuzz, stacked gain stages, and brutal drop-tuned riffs that define the band’s sonic identity.
Beyond performing, Quentin is a respected educator and gear collaborator. He has contributed guitar lessons to Guitar Xtreme Magazine and Guitar Part, and maintains a strong presence in the guitar community through his long-term partnership with Vola Guitars. Since their initial collaboration, Godet has released three signature guitar models—the Vola OZ QGM series—each reflecting his evolving tonal needs across multiple projects. These models are celebrated for their versatility, premium specs, and modern design tailored to both technical metal and expressive fusion styles. Deeply influenced by artists like Michael Jackson, Pink Floyd, Guthrie Govan, and Biréli Lagrène, Godet combines technical command with artistic range. Looking ahead, his goals include continued touring with ten56., a revival of Kadinja’s live presence, and expanding into collaborations beyond the metal world.
