Modern Metal Mechanics
IT IS NO SECRET THAT QUENTIN GODET HAS DEVELOPED A STRONG REPUTATION IN THE HEAVY MUSIC SPHERE AS ONE OF THE FORERUNNERS OF MODERN METAL ADVANCEMENT.
Best known for his work in Ten56 and Kadinja, his unique approach to playing, paired with a plethora of varying techniques, has proven his qualifications time and time again. After a recent rendezvous with Balsamiq Productions, Quentin and their crew amassed a collection of visuals displaying a strong selection of Vola instruments. One of the standout performances featured Godet playing some driving metalcore riffs on the OZ Keene Machine, which was released earlier this year.
Right out of the gate, he boasts incredible right-hand control, as diminished riffs seem to spill out effortlessly. In a calculated fashion, he utilizes the Keene Machine in the first position to meld choppy dynamics and stirring voicings. It seems as if these ideas are innate, and the guitar itself becomes an extension of his playing. From a tonal standpoint, the articulation provided by the Fishman Fluence pickups perfectly complements the musical intention. Raw and cutting, each note stands out from the rest in a flurry of controlled chaos. Hats off to Quentin for another inspiring performance!
Thanks to Balsamiq Productions and Kaspar Jalily, we now have an impressive archive of fantastic musicians utilizing our instruments, so stay tuned for the next one!
