Yuta Ichiyasu is a guitarist based in Osaka, Japan, best known for his work with the band CHASED. Born in Sakai, Osaka, Yuta began playing guitar at the age of 15, drawn initially to the energy of J-Rock. His musical journey took a transformative turn after discovering the work of Steve Vai, which led him into the world of instrumental guitar. From there, he found inspiration in virtuosos like Paul Gilbert, John Petrucci, and Joe Satriani, all of whom have influenced his expressive and technically rich playing style.

As the guitarist for CHASED, Yuta has been a driving creative force behind the band’s sound, blending blues, rock, metal, djent, and neo-soul into a passionate and dynamic musical identity. The band recently released their sixth mini album and is currently on a nationwide tour to promote it. Yuta is also dedicated to growing his presence online, regularly sharing performance videos on social media to connect with fans and expand his reach as an artist.

Throughout his career, Yuta has had the opportunity to perform at major venues across Japan, including standout appearances at Zepp Sapporo and Sendai GIGS, where CHASED shared the stage with renowned acts. In his solo work, one of his most memorable performances took place at Namba Hatch, one of Osaka’s premier live venues. These experiences have fueled his drive to reach new heights. His five-year goals include taking CHASED to the next level, launching a solo tour, and building a strong presence as a guitarist within the global music scene.

Currently, Yuta finds inspiration in modern guitarists like Mark Holcomb of Periphery, whose progressive approach continues to influence his evolving sound.
