Pat O' May
French guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer of Irish descent, Pat O'May chose the land of Brittany to pack his bags. From the age of 14, he played with the hard rock group Marienthal, with whom he will live his first professional experiences that will take him to the four corners of the world. A few years later, Pat O'May decided to start a solo career in order to give free rein to his inspiration. Mixing the basics of rock and metal with elements borrowed from Celtic, Arabic or even Chinese music, he creates an original and powerful universe, an invitation to travel. This will be his trademark with more than 14 albums and wonderful and inspiring studio or live collaborations to his credit: Ron "Bumblefoot" Thal (Guns N' Roses / Sons Of Apollo), Nono (Trust), Patrick Rondat (Jean Michel Jarre, Jon Lord), Alan Parsons, Pat Mc Manus, Ian Paice (Deep Purple), Martin Barre (Jethro Tull), Moya Brennan (Clannad) and many more...
Loving collaborations, he played in the Celtic rock opera "Excalibur" in front of more than 200.000 people during a tour in Germany, then with his friend Alan Stivell, who invited him alongside Dan Ar Braz for his anniversary concert at the Olympia (Paris) and even more for the "Britany night at Bercy".
Interested in multimedia, Pat O'May wrote the soundtrack for more than 100 episodes of the documentary series "Thalassa", including "The coasts of Europe seen from the sky", broadcast in more than 50 countries around the world, as well as film music.
Today, Pat O'May is exploring new territories by writing and composing his first concept album "Welcome to a New World", a cross between The Matrix and The Who's Tommy, which he is presenting on the European and French stages.
