Everything Is Bigger In Texas
Over the weekend, the USA Vola team made their way to Mesquite, Texas for the 2024 Amigo Guitar Show.
The landscape of guitar trade shows has consistently evolved over the years, and each one has a distinct layout, operational flow, and target demographic. The Amigo Guitar Show is no exception. At its core, it is an amalgamation of timeless pieces, some made decades ago and some recently manufactured. Upon entering the convention area, on-goers were greeted with an endless sea of headstocks, castles of vintage amplifiers, endless shelves of pedals, and a burst of color in every which direction.
Vola Guitars entered as a beacon of sorts. Amidst a vast array of time-weathered instruments and accessories, it was refreshing to be able to contribute some modern offerings. With a booth covering a considerable amount of space, we equipped nearly thirty-five guitars and several basses to showcase our ever-growing catalogue. Among the lineup were a wide assortment of our mainstay models, such as the OZ V3 MC, Vasti V3 MC, OZ RV TNC, and OZ 24 SRM. From a signature guitar angle, we brought along the QGM & PDM 7-strings, Vasti KJM, OZ JRM, and the almighty OZ Keene Machine, just to name a few! The ZVA 4P basses also stood proud at the entrance to the booth. One very encouraging occurrence was the constant visits from our left-handed musician friends. A large handful of lefties gravitated over throughout the duration, enamored with the immaculate finishes on the Tiger Eye and Trans Purple OZ TNC’s, and ecstatic to find a Surf Green T-style Vasti in left-handed configuration for their exploration. According to them, there were hardly any other builds catered to their dominant handedness. So it was quite thrilling to add an element of inclusion for them.
Another surprising element of the showcase was the age range that showed interest in our guitars. Players, young and old, formed magnetic connections with specific models based off of their musical styles, preferences, and influences. Some attendees no older than fourteen demonstrated a mind-bending amount of skill and dedication to their technique, giving our team hope for the future of musical growth and expansion. Many of our interactions were with folks who had never encountered our brand before, and their eagerness to learn more fueled our motivation to spread the word further. Thank you to each and every attendee that came by the booth, said hello, shared their story, asked intriguing questions, and sat down to spend time with our instruments. It is also well worth mentioning that the staff and support at the show were incredibly helpful and supportive, going out of their way to make sure every vendor was set up for success. We look forward to more upcoming events and showcases to show off our latest innovations.
