Leo Natale

Léo Natale is a guitarist and composer based in Paris, France, known for his undeniable presence in progressive and extreme music. Born and raised in Cannes, Léo picked up the guitar at just nine years old and was already fronting his first band by fifteen. At age twenty, he founded DALI, a genre-bending project that blends elements of progressive metal, electronic music, and hip-hop with raw emotional intensity. In addition to DALI, Léo is also part of Sal3m, further showcasing his ability to move fluidly between genres. Over the years, he has recorded five albums with DALI and has been featured in Guitar Xtreme Magazine, highlighting his technical proficiency and experimental edge. His playing is versatile and visceral—equal parts precision and chaos, with a voice all his own.
Léo’s creative inspirations span a wide spectrum, from the cinematic depth of Hans Zimmer and Woodkid to the genre-defying chaos of Louis Cole and Skrillex. Bands like Periphery, Leprous, and Loathe have deeply shaped his approach to composition and live performance, and artists like Jacob Collier and Guthrie Govan continue to push his boundaries as a guitarist and writer. He’s performed across Europe, with standout shows at Hellfest and Euroblast, and venues like Trabendo (Paris), Patronaat (Haarlem), and Essigfabrik (Cologne). His work recently landed a sync placement on an episode of The Walking Dead, marking a major milestone in his career. Whether he’s delivering crushing riffs or ambient textures, his sound is self-described as “versatile, nervous, angry, and visceral”. Léo’s range allows him to move from jazz-pop to deathcore without losing the thread of who he is as an artist.
Currently, Léo is working on a new EP with DALI and gearing up for a French tour in May 2025, followed by a full EU/UK tour that fall. His next five years are focused on expanding his creative footprint—touring more with DALI, scoring for film and documentaries, and eventually collaborating with Vola Guitars on a signature Japanese model. With each project, he’s carving out a distinct space in modern music—one where aggression, nuance, and innovation coexist. His sound defies easy categorization, pulling equally from prog, deathcore, hip-hop, jazz, and electronic music. That fearless, onward approach is what makes him a compelling artist in today’s musical landscape, and the Vola artist family is proud to call him one of our own.
