Guillaume Bernard (Klone)

Guillaume Bernard has been shaping Klone’s sound since the very beginning. As the band’s founding guitarist, he’s guided them from their early groove-metal days to the layered, atmospheric rock they’re known for now. His guitar work anchors albums like Le Grand Voyage and Meanwhile, where he crafts dense, moody passages that hit with both power and emotion. Whether he’s building tension with a slow, haunting melody or dropping a heavy, churning riff, his playing always drives the music forward.
On stage, Guillaume’s approach is understated but unmistakable. He’s led Klone through tours across Europe and North America, sharing stages with Gojira, Devin Townsend, and Riverside. Their acoustic sets — captured in the Unplugged album — highlight a different side of his playing, more restrained and intimate but just as impactful. Beyond Klone, he co-founded Klonosphere, a collective that supports French rock and metal bands, helping to lift up the next wave of artists.
Guillaume’s custom Vola JZ FRO is as visually striking as it is sonically powerful. The flame top finish highlights the natural grain, adding a sense of depth and movement that mirrors his fluid, expressive playing. It’s an instrument that blends classic elegance with modern design, striking a balance between boldness and refinement. The look is purposeful, drawing the eye without overpowering the music — a perfect match for Klone’s haunting, cinematic sound. Deep in the touring circuit, Bernard and his fellow band members are solidifying a strong path forward.
