ten56. Reflects on Successful North American Tour and Upcoming Festival Season

As their latest North American tour comes to a close, ten56. guitarists Quentin Godet and Luka Rozaka reflected on four weeks of performances across the United States. The band visited several cities that differed from the routing they had experienced on previous tours, allowing them to perform in front of new audiences throughout the run. According to Luka, the tour provided an opportunity to explore unfamiliar markets while connecting with fans in regions they had not previously visited. The lineup (featuring Invent Animate and headliners Fit For a King) also marked a shift from the band's recent touring history, featuring more metalcore acts rather than the deathcore-focused packages they had joined in the past. Despite the change in audience demographics, the band found the experience rewarding and noted that their heavier sound often served as a standout moment in the nightly lineup. Their current setlist balances material from across their catalog while incorporating newer songs into the live show. Quentin and Luka specifically highlighted the addition of "Snapped Neck" and "IO," both of which are being performed live for the first time.

One of the most memorable stops on the tour came in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, where the band encountered what they described as the strongest crowd of the entire run. The venue was packed, and audience members responded with high energy from the beginning of the set through the final song. Both guitarists pointed to the crowd’s enthusiasm and movement as major factors that made the performance stand out from the rest of the tour, ultimately making it their favorite show of the run. Quebec City was another highlight, though for different reasons. The band spent time exploring the city during a day off and appreciated the opportunity to communicate in French with local residents while experiencing the area’s unique culture and atmosphere. They also noted that the food throughout the tour was a significant improvement compared to previous runs, where fast food often became the default option. While the upgraded dining choices came at a higher cost, the band considered it a worthwhile investment during an otherwise demanding travel schedule.

Throughout the tour, both guitarists relied heavily on their Vola instruments and a streamlined live rig built around modern digital processing. Luka performed with his Vola USA Custom JZ-style baritone, featuring a 28.5-inch scale length along with a P90 and two single-coil pickups. Quentin's primary guitar was his signature Vola QGM J3, a 27-inch scale seven-string baritone equipped with Bare Knuckle pickups and an HSS configuration. He also incorporated a Vola J1 into his setup and carried a custom shop model as a backup instrument. For amplification and effects, the band ran their guitars through a Neural DSP Quad Cortex paired with a Cathedral octave fuzz and distortion pedal from Spline Laboratories. Looking ahead, ten56. will return home briefly before beginning a busy European festival season that is expected to include approximately 15 to 16 appearances. The band also confirmed that several new songs have already been completed, with additional material currently in development for future release.
