Celebrating 10 Years of Vola Guitars at the 2025 NAMM Show!
Since launching in 2015, the Vola team has been hard at work to deliver a meaningful guitar-playing experience for musicians around the world. From humble beginnings, we have striven to perfect our craft one instrument at a time. One of the most powerful incubators for growth and progression has long been the NAMM Show in Anaheim, California.
Throughout the show, we saw many warm and familiar faces. A wide array of friendly YouTubers and creators, like Andrew Baena, Henning, Music for Miles, KDH, The Guitar Geek, Recording Studio Loser, Steve From Boston, and many more, swung by for updates on our latest offerings. As they cycled through, we gave full booth tours, held in-depth discussions on instrument specs, and shared exciting news about future plans. We also got to catch up with some of our wonderful Vola artists along the way. The distance traveled proved to be fruitful, with a confluence of creative minds joining in meaningful conversations, both verbally and musically.
One of the highlights of the show was Vola Signature Artist Michael Keene renewing his yearly contract with our company. With the eager crowds watching, Keene signed on, solidifying a hopeful future of ongoing collaborative efforts. Along with the contract renewal, he shared the thrilling news of upcoming new music for his wildly influential project, The Faceless. After posing for some photos with Vola Guitars founder Shawn Cho, he greeted ecstatic fans, warmly sharing his wealth of knowledge about his signature guitar, the OZ Keene Machine. It was a sight to behold.
An added excitement met onlookers with the showcasing of the brand-new J3 Series. These signature models of Pierre Danel and Quentin Godet have been highly anticipated. Having released them a few weeks back, attendees were eager to put them to the test and dive deeply into their inner workings. Featuring 7 strings, 27” scale lengths, Bareknuckle Boot Camp Brute Force pickups, GOTOH hardware, sandwich-style bodies, roasted maple necks, and a clean yet complex electronics package, these two new offerings were a vibrant addition to the buzz of the convention. The captivating finish on each was enough to draw attention from afar, with Quentin’s OZ flaunting a Penny Gloss finish, and Pierre’s boasting its impeccable Thin Ice Blue finish. They were tested in every capacity possible by young and old alike and may have just converted some believers into the extended-range realm.
Another encouraging response came for the second iteration of JZ FRO finishes. Having been announced just weeks earlier, the Shell Pink Gloss, Black Gloss, and Aged Copper Gloss paint jobs turned heads left and right, quickly drawing interest from guitarists of all types. With their VFP90 and VS-I single coils, alder bodies, flamed roasted maple necks, stainless steel frets, tortoise shell pick-guards, and Luminlay fret markers, the JZ’s were certainly not overlooked.
The level of talent that enters the halls of the Anaheim convention center will never cease to amaze us. These inspiring minds from across the globe met on common ground, exchanging ideas and pertinent knowledge to keep our industry moving forward. As for the year ahead, we plan to grow in many capacities, invest in our fantastic artist roster, respond to customer feedback and desires, and continue to provide the finest instruments possible to our dedicated community. We thank you for ten amazing years of Vola Guitars. Here’s to another ten!
