Pierre Danel
Pierre Danel is a French guitarist known for his work with metal outfits Kadinja and Novelists. He graduated from the American School of Music in Paris, where he studied composition, arrangement, and sound engineering. Since the early 2010s, he has been active as a touring and recording musician, performing throughout Europe, North America, Asia, and abroad. With a playing style that has become synonymous with fluidity and an effortless theoretical backbone, he has undeniably carved out a space in the guitar community.
He co-founded progressive metal group Kadinja in 2013, with an emphasis on pushing the technical boundaries of heavy music. After the release of the band’s self-titled EP, Kadinja began touring across Europe and appearing at festivals including Tech Fest, Euroblast, and Lower Tuned. Their first full-length album, Ascendancy, was released in 2017, followed by Super 90’ and DNA in 2019. Alongside touring, Pierre has taught masterclasses at many of the respective stops along the way. In 2023, Pierre joined Novelists. Since then, the band has toured extensively in Europe, the United Kingdom, and North America, performing at some of the largest rock festivals across the globe. Playing a large role in the development of their latest record CODA, Danel put many of his production and songwriting skills to work. In 2026, Novelists completed a sweeping two-month North American tour and are set to return to the USA for a fall tour as well.
A long time friend and collaborator, Pierre has been part of the Vola Guitars artist roster for many years and has partnered with the company on several signature models, including two seven strings (Vasti 7 PDM J1 & Vasti 7 PDM J3) and one six string model (Vasti PDM J2). He continues to use his signature Vola instruments to fuel his creative process, perform on stages across the world, and inspire the next wave of guitarists.
